Our People

The Stubbins Team are vital to the success of our business and we have the best people in the industry.
Stubbins has its own Ethical Trading Policy, which applies not only to all staff and agency staff but has also been introduced to all Stubbins suppliers in the UK and overseas.

As part of company policy Stubbins audits its own labour providers through our Human Resources department and works with suppliers to ensure adherence to acceptable ethical trading standards. Our grower partners are also managed by external audits but are also developed by us to ensure they adhere to code of practice and ETI guidelines and working practices.

All new staff are issued with Stubbins’ own employment handbook, which explains their terms and conditions of employment and their rights during their employment.

For all our production staff, there is an in-house induction period which ensures that employees understand both the job they will be undertaking and the standards they are expected to meet. e.g. hygiene, protective clothing, no smoking.  This initial induction is followed by a development period of on line training, which is overseen by a senior supervisor. We have an in house training facility which can hold briefings and seminars to enhance the knowledge of our employees.

We are also members of
Sedex. We use this secure, web-based system to update our labour practices at production sites and make it available to our customers.
